I'm pretty certain that I will be getting the X51 (i5) for Christmas, anyone have/had this pc?
How does it run?

I've seen vids and it seems like it would run well but its always better to build your own but since you are getting it for christams you really cant do that.

Seriously, don't buy one. They're overpriced crap. But if money isn't an issue then sure, go ahead. I'd rather build one though. Alienwares are a big nono in the PC community.

as nearly any prebuilt pc they charge you extra for building it cheap out on core parts such as the power supply,motherboard and case but with alienware you pay an extra 100-200 pounds on top of that for some flashy lights adding more heat to the terrible system.

Not much better, but with laptops it's worse the idea of a gaming laptop won't work the battery life is horrible and they generate so much heat.. if you want to game building a desktop wins in so many ways.

I suggest you just build your own PC. Much cheaper and you get the satisfaction when you first power it up:)
