Alright guys, I have a Econ project that i have to ask 5 people a few questions, could a few people actually just answer the question for me to help me out. Just makes things a little simpler. (meant for people who have to support themself)
How Do you save money?
what % of your income do you save?
Is there any purchases you make that you feel you could go with out?

How do I save money?
I wouldn't say I'm careless with my money, but I'm not too sensible with it as I could be. Basically I live beneath my means and earn more money than I need. This is why I'm able to save money. Add on to the fact I don't have a family to support, and it's easier for me to save. I basically spend what I want, on what I want. If I was more sensible, I would have a lot of money saved. It also helps that I work away from home for half the year and don't spend anything in that 6 months, that helps me save I'd say.
What % of your income do you save?
Difficult to say for sure, I'd say about 50% a month approximately.
Are there any purchases you make that you feel you could go without?
Yes. I have the luxury of being able to basically treat myself a lot seeing as I don't have any dependents to support. In the last year I've bought a car, a new 50" 3D Smart TV, Xbox One, festival tickets, luxury apartments at weekends, plethora of new clothes, new mobile phone, laptop, PC and other things.
Now I don't mean to sound pompous or full of myself, when you're working full time and earning a decent wage and don't have anyone else to support you can afford to treat yourself and make unnecessary purchases, if I had a wife or children, it would be a different matter and I probably wouldn't have half those things.
Anyway, I hope that helps you out a little.

Putting $$ into a saving acocunt that i dont have access to normally so i cant just blow it,
what % of your income do you save? i try and put 1/4 of every paycheck into the account. But Xmas bdays and other special ocations are differant.
Is there any purchases you make that you feel you could go with out? plenty of things i spend money on and arnt needed for example. dlc content for any game/ anything that is recurring and iphone games i play/ and i can always drive less because gas is freaking pricy/ can always go out to eat less stay home and cook. So non-nesesities are purchases i can always go without.
