Hello, so a couple months ago my laptop used to run minecraft fine(30-40 fps) and then, my cooling fan broke on me because of a peice hit it and must have messed it up. Ever since then I get 0-10fps. I've tried everything, from game boosters, upping my ram, changing my performance settings, everything. Is there anyway I can go back to that smooth fps that I miss?(also, one of the sides where my laptop is held in place, (the hinges)are broke, so I have it held up by tape at times, but thats just extra) ( Also the computer overheats )
Intel HD 3000 graphics card, as said before, used to work just fine for games

When using integrated graphics a cooling fan will make no difference what so ever. It may get a bit hotter under load, but it wouldn't stop it working.

Try updating your drivers or do a system restore form when it was playing fine.

What i suggest is, get a cooling stand for your laptop, as they do better than an internal fan anyway.

Only reason it may lower performance in games, would be if the processor was throttling due to excess heat.

Try searching the internet or ebay for a replacement cooling fan for your laptop. Really not hard or expensive to do.

Hes right if the cooling fan is broken the CPU will get hotter and the CPU will throttle its self right down to stop it from burning out.

It could be. When processors get too hot they have two options; turn off if the temps reach such a high temperature that its dangerous or they can throttle. Throttling means the processor reduces its speed so it can cool itself down.

When the processor believes it is cool again it will return to its normal speed and continue. Laptops need to have some cooling solution in place. As replacing a fan on a laptop is quite easy i would recommend replacing it.

but, part of the left hinge of the laptop is broke, and that may just break part of the new fan that i would get :/
