hey, do you need PS+ to play online or only for special features like the ps3?

There's special features yes, and I'm pretty sure Playstation announced they'd be implementing this into playing online.

It's basically like Live now, just you still get a lot more free games.

Yes you do need PS plus on the ps4 now, but it still comes with all of the great features like it did on the ps3.

Also, you can pay for PlayStation Plus membership in the following three ways:

  • Once per month: 5.49 GBP
  • Once every 3 months: 11.99 GBP
  • Once per year: 39.99 GBP


(Once per year works out cheapest, at approximately 3.33 GBP per month).

Other 3rd party apps

They are all free to use. So a free online account could use Netflix

Yes its 4.75 a month where xbox is 5 but you need it to go online for games
