It honestly makes me so mad when they blame video games for public shootings and murders. People have been killing other people since they first stepped onto this earth, Way before video games even were a thought. Yeah, Video Games are very violent but they do not cause public shootings. It just makes me mad when shootings are blamed on Video Games. What do you think about it?

I love when ignorant parents complain to the companies for making games too violent. If they don't want their kids exposed to the violence, DON'T BUY THEM THE DAMN GAME. It's honestly not that hard and it frustrates me to no end.

I agree 100%! They complain about how it is too violent, then why buy it for your kid? It obviously is 18 and older for a reason.

If you think about it, these children are little brats. They'll cry and moan to their parents if they don't get what they want, and they cause this behavior. in the streets.

IMO its their upbringing. If they we're raised thinking everything will be given to them then they wouldn't cause this behavior (not everyone but it wouldn't be as bad) and their parents wouldn't feel like they need to buy it them.

I was reading and it said
In order for someone to become a mass murderer or rapist from video games; There has to be something wrong with them first.

i agree completely. most of these pyscopaths that do these shootings and stuff have probably never really played video games any way and if they have it was probably pac man or tetris.

That's why the ESRB rating exists. It states what audiences that a certain game is intended for.

I blame it on the government. They made it illegal to beat your kid or discipline them, how are we suppose to learn the hard way like our parents if they just give us anything we want?

I also find it myself being angry at news reporters for blaming video games. I will give an example, So 2 days before the release of GTA 5 there was a Navy Yard shooting and they blamed GTA 5 for it(My local news) and it wasn't even out!

My local FOX news did the exact same thing, I even called them to tell them their error and they asked how old I was ( 14 ), and they said I was to young and ignorant to know anything. I chewed them out over the phone.
