So I really thought I'd say this because I've been thinking about it for a while. Well, let's get started.
First of all, for the record, I really did like Halo 4, 343 did a great job on it, don't get me wrong. The Campaign was great, and the multiplayer was pretty good too, it had some things Reach should have. But in all honesty, 343 better have a huge explanation for the Halo 5 reveal trailer. First of all, why in god's name is Chief wearing a cloak, he looks like a Jedi. Some people say it's because he's in the desert, and he doesn't want to "scratch his armor" or something. Excuse me, but did he not save the universe????? Anyways. Here is the trailer:


I will give it a chance, only because of the fact that Halo 4 was so good. What do you guys think? Do you think it will be good?

Because cloaks are a form of being Badass, thought that was common sense.
Also i am pretty sure this is the wrong section for rants, but i am not a topic Nazi.

I've heard that he was wearing the "cape" to disguise his appearance.
Also, I loved Halo 4. Getting all the Raider DSTT Armor was my biggest accomplishment.

Although it is quite stupid that Master Chief is wearing a cloak, maybe it was just to hide his identity. I quite enjoyed the trailer and don't think the game can be judged by a two minute reveal trailer, wait till you play the game first before you rant on it...

We'll understand why hes wearing it later. if u remember correctly H4s trailer didnt really show the beginning either (well the gameplay one) it was taken from the 4th level, infinity, so maybe thats the case here as well. lets all just wait

They came out and said that the trailer has nothing to do with the real game.

Out of all the possible complaints to have about Halo 5 that is yours? Oh yea you though Halo 4 MM was good smh.

Possible Cloak reasons

  • Hiding from enemy
  • Using it for protection
  • General Badassery


There is so much more to the Halo story than what is in the games. Check out some videos in Halo waypoint for some of the deeper story. Don't just a game by just the beginning teaser. Atleast they are still making a game thought to end already.

I think they only used it in the trailer to surprise people. When he took off the hood. Its a act of surprise because people didn't expect it. They came out and said the trailer had nothing to do with the game.

Honestly they are really good. I got one from a carboot, and ended up buying all of them The last book released also leads on to Halo 4, which was actually a bit of a let down, because it kind of ruined the story... Like I don't see how they will carry it on... Still, the trailer was awesome. It's a teaser trailer, not a game trailer, if you get what I mean?
