Even before the Xbox One and PS4 were even mentioned, I never saw any reason for Microsoft or Sony to upgrade their consoles. Think about it, Is their anything wrong with the current consoles right now? For all the new games that come out, they all look the same graphics wise. And now with the PS4 along with the Xbox One already having trouble regarding the One's Disc Drive and Sony's BLOD, it feels like they just rush these systems out just to make millions. I remember and still have the original Xbox and I've never had any problems with it as far as reading games or having any errors. Quite frankly, that system was built like a tank. You had to try to destroy it and chances are it still might have worked. I understand you have to upgrade eventually, but it feels like nothing lasts anymore. The original Xbox came out in 2001 and 4 years later the 360 comes out. The PS2 came out in 2000 and the PS3 came out in 2006. Come to think of it, look at the Wii U. Nintendo suffered a huge loss from when that system came out and was their anything wrong with the Wii? I just don't see the reason to upgrade when there's really nothing wrong with the systems along with the games. How do you guys feel about it?

I don't think there was anything wrong with these consoles at all, you could have made games look basically this good on Xbox 360 & PS3 in my opinion [Which is not much difference]

But look at it this way, Microsoft & Sony have to make money some other way, yeah I know Sony make a lot of stuff, where as Microsoft don't, only PC's and Software, the Xbox 360 is a big source of income for them, so maybe they were hoping that the Xbox One would be the same.

But it wasn't neccessary, maybe a new console every 10 years when things are more advanced and you can actually tell a difference between the graphics!

Money grabs are part of the console community. If you want next-gen level graphics, then you're gonna have to step up to the master race that is pc gaming.

I recently watched a video from Turn 10 Studios (Forza) basically saying that there's so much hardware for developers to work with now.

Battlefield 4 on next-gen even has 64 players online, which will have different maps per DLC because of the amount of players per match.

Gaming is all about online experience now, and the next-gen consoles deliver just that.

Sure there are Singleplayer games, but even then, remember Skyrim's vast environment. They did that on current-gen technology. Just imagine what they'll do with games now going down the road.

Good post though!

Stop with your PC-elitist mindset. Just because most don't pay $1500 for a gaming rig doesn't mean consoles don't work. If you take any player on PC and put them next to console players, they wouldn't stand out like you PC gamers think they would.

Rush them? It's been eight years since the release of the 360.
