The graphics forum is really dead here today :/ But it needs alot of work.

I honestly have no idea how people use these tablets. I would never buy one.
I would say it looks bad, but knowing how hard it is to use those damn things, i'll give you a 7/10.

Not bad for a first time.

Critique:
1. Needs shading BADLY
2. More detail, (Bags under eyes, skin imperfections, skin tone, scars (if any), etc...
3. Match the colors up so it looks like it has even lighting throughout!
4. Try fading the bottom of it off into the dark or such, don't leave it be a floating head.
5. NEVER GIVE UP. Try things, and if you mess up, there is a undo button.

thanks for all the input guys. it means a lot.
i have only been using it for a couple of days at most and shading is a bitch on these.
i will keep trying and hopefully get a bit better!

The tablet is not your problem, practice makes perfect, when it comes to shading I recommend you just make new layers on top of your original coloring and draw black then Blur it and tool around with the opacity. I've been using mine for about a month and once you get used to it you can make quite some amazing pieces.

Overall
3/10

It looks pretty good as a base, you can try adding more shaddows to his bald head, because I can assure you that there is more than one tone in his skin color.
