So yesterday the BBC released a mini-episode that serves as a prequel to the revived series and more importantly, the Day of the Doctor! Here it is:
Now I'm going to get into some very "Whovian" stuff here, could be possibly nerdy for some of you guys so I'll put it in a spoiler thing. Anyway, What do you guys think of this episode?

So there's been a lot of debate around if John Hurt was a regeneration of the Doctor or some kind of parallel universe kind of Doctor, in this episode it's confirmed that McGann regenerated into Hurt, creating "the War Doctor". Now, Time Lords only have 12 regenerations, unless more are granted to them via the High Council. Chances are they won't be too happy with the Doctor for imprisoning them in the time lock so I don't think they would give him a new cycle. Does this mean that Capaldi could be the last Doctor? So the question remains, is the 12 regeneration rule just a rule imposed by the High Council, or is it that they physically can't regenerate more than 12 times unless given a new cycle by the Council?
