On my new build I've been working with my hardware a bit and I've got my 2700k at 4.4GHz stable, and I don't plan on overclocking my GPU whatsoever.

After about an hour of BF3 my CPU is at 52 Celsius (according to Asus AI Suite monitor) and never seems to go over that. My GTX 570 tops out at 85 Celsius (according to MSI Afterburner monitor). Obviously every CPU will achieve different temps at different clock speeds, but temperatures is something I know little about. Any inputs are welcomed

I usually use HWMonitor for checking temps as its a bit dodgy with my AMD chip, reading the socket on the board not the chip itself.

But yes those temps seem fine for day to day operation. You can manually set a custom fan curve for that 570 if you think its too hot, but it'll live as it is.

Or if you're adventurous/bored you can get some thermal paste and reapply it to the GPU as that helps temps quite a bit depending on the age of the card.

I'd suggest using a more consistent and demanding program to test temps, like Furmark for your card and OCCT for your CPU. Your CPU may only get to 52C in a game, but OCCT Linpack with AVX enabled and 90% RAM usage will be another story. Your card temps depend completely on fan speed so it's hard to tell you anything. Don't be afraid to let it get hot.
