Alright, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to get lots of hate for this, but hear me out. Have an, 'open mind'.

Lightsabers:
If you haven't heard, there's been some talk of real, 'lightsabers'. I'll post the article below:

This is really interesting, and if they are successful, it'd be a massive breakthrough for science.

Planets:

Now, scientists have found many planets resembling planets from the movie. Article is also below:

I'm not really sure how this could be useful, unless we found life on said planets.

I also found this, I thought it had a realistic list of the problems with the series being real. Take a look.

Now please, no hate.

Open mind.

Well, I think the first problem would be that in the opening lines of text it says, "A long time ago In a Galaxy far, far away."
Most of these planets are in the Milky Way?

Also, the timing is wrong.

'A long time ago...'
Not, 'Far into the future...'

Now you must put this into consideration, light takes a long time to travel. When you think of "light speed" you generally think of that being insanely fast, but in correlation to how large our universe is, it's actually not very fast at all. It takes light from the sun 8 minutes to get to earth. Now think about how long it would take for a planet on the other side of the milky ways light to travel to earth. Not necessarily saying this theory is true but it is definitely plausible. Good post.

Granted, but it's still the Milky Way.
The only way this theory would work really would be if the script was written in another Galaxy about events happening in the Milky Way, then an alien flew to Coruscant [Earth] with it and time travelled back to the 1970s to give it to George Lucas.

I think it's safe to say Star Wars is a work of fiction.

It would be cool but things like Light Sabers would be useless unless someone had "the force".

PS: There is a website called space.com? Thanks, gunna check it out some time!

No, no, no.. You have me wrong.

I'm taking into consideration if it is plausible that the series could ever exist; I'm not saying it happened. I admit, I didn't really explain it well, but it is if it's plausible.

Oh well then yes, anything could happen I suppose.
The only part that seems a bit unrealistic is the whole 'force' business.
