Hello 'TheTechGame'

Requirements:

- Google Chrome
- Internet Connection, Wired (E-thernet) or Wireless (Wi-Fi)

Just joined the site and quickly wanted to post a quick tutorial/idea that might benefit some of the members upon the site who hate Pop-ups and Adverts!

Now don't get me wrong, some adverts can become handy! Sometimes giving you a sneak peak of the latest trailer for a good film or a Christmas or Birthday present idea, but the ones advertising "SHOOT 5 iPhones TO WIN AN iPhone" can be annoying with the animated images on the screen. If you use Google Chrome as your default search engine, you can stop all this!

Step One; Download Google Chrome if you haven't already, if you have just ignore this step. Here's the link if you haven't got it: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
(For Windows 8/7/Vista/XP. Not available for Windows RT)

Step Two: Make sure you've installed it all correctly, and open your new/existing Internet Browser. Using your default search engine, whichever it may be search;'Adblock'. It should look like this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Step Three: After opening the page, you'll have hit the 'Google Web Store' where many other Apps are available. But to keep on track you should have the Application for Chrome displaying 'Adblock'. Look for the button which looks like this; [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Click this button and your download will start.

Step Four: Open your download, and install the Application. It will be added to Google Chrome after install, it may prompt you that your PC/Browser may need restarting. If so, go ahead and do that.

Once that's all done, you won't have to wait for the annoying YouTube adverts or any other annoying pop-ups. Please note that the adblocker will not work while being in an incognito window.

You can check how many ads/pop-ups have been block by visiting the small logo of AdBlock to the top right of your bookmark line which looks something like this; [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] then it will open showing something very similar to this; [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I hope this helps some people, thank you for viewing. Plus, I take responsibility for this post and every word was written by myself and not by a third-party website or application.

Well, at work I have a lot of people to talk too a few people have mentioned the annoying adverts on YouTube and I've given them the advice. Still, I don't deny that many people will have already of known of this and currently use it, but it's there for people who don't!

You can alter and designate for which websites you wish to block adverts on. The Tech Game is currently showing their advertisements on here, as I've allowed it. It's customisable, but I can see where your coming from!
