This account is brand spankin' new to halo 3 and im working to level up in lone wolves. ive came in 1st and second place every gam out of 17 games. and only level 17. last time i recall when i played halo 3 in the good ole days, it was much faster than this. is this how it is now in lone wolves or all playlists.
One more question, does having less experience actually level you up faster?

17 Games and you're a level 17? That's pretty good tbh, I got 1st place for like 20+ games and I was only like an 11 or something like that, so you're good.
As for the EXP question, it doesn't necessarily matter about the EXP, it matters about how many times you lost. If you're trying to rank up an account with 0 losses it goes by so fast, rather than an account with 50, 60 losses or something like that.
Generally though, if you lose games you go down, which make you gain more exp so that's why it kind of seems like more exp = harder to rank up.

Ahh even a person named halo 4 cant explain this,,,,
For your first question, yes of course you will rank up slowly before 20s-30s but it all depends on who you beat and what was there skill level. and sometimes you could win 5 games coming first and not ranking up but on your 6th game you will rank up 7 times ect.
2nd question, yes generally boosters do that they would lose 200 games on purpose and get there 50 within those 200 games. because it levels them up faster and they dont care about xp.

i have 60 xp in lone wolves and 32skill in it if you come in top 3 get xp always which i think is good probably easiest playlist to get xp and skill in there are alot of de rankers as well so that's just easy wins

No, a fresh booster with nothing but losses will rank up very fast, because they will have a low "True SKill" rank. A well used booster, will have a mix, and become rank lonked.
