I'm level 53 and I've been playing free mode a long time, but merrywether still isn't in my contacts? I don't think he has called me??

Do more missions, that's probably why.

Try cruising around in an invite only or solo session. When I did that for the first time I was a level 80 or so, and I got all kinds of new calls for missions that I've never had. Hope that helps you out

I didn't have anything unlocked from merryweather or Lester. (I was level 45) After doing missions for Lester and other people I later unlocked it
