Hey guys I'm looking for a laptop which has a good battery life and can run SOME games and is good for the price. The amount I can spend is 500-600 GBP. The only games I want to run really is League of Legends, so it doesn't require much graphics power, so mostly I'd want it to be focusing more on the processor and RAM. The system doesn't need to have a Operating System. Thanks

Most/all laptops come with an OS, so that won't be a worry.
This laptop is good for the price, running a 2.5Ghz core i3 processor, 500GB HDD, 6GB RAM, as well as a dedicated graphics card(Geforce 710M 2GB).

The Thinkpad E130 will be fantastic for what you need, I'd like to give you an SSD but this will do as well. Take your pick, one model is slightly above and one is slightly below your budget range.

Not really looking for a small laptop as I need it just to play League of Legends as well as doing college work, and league isn't really optimised for a small laptop

They're much faster then standard 5400/7200RPM drives, providing faster program launch and boot times.

If you want a nice school and gaming laptop for LoL i would recommend the 2013 Macbook Pro it is what i am on now but it depends on your budget even though it is built to last a while too.

Personal opinion: Ew.
It's also out of his budget(I think).
