This is a thread over a lot of the current issues players are having to date. If you have solutions that have worked for you please pm me so I can get this information up.
With the spark in the new method of modding by changing the DNS your console connects to, there is a lot of attention being drawn to this.
TTG User 'ECS' was in a chat room with a rep from Microsoft, to whom he spoke to about this new method of modding and what could result from it. If you are caught changing your DNS to one of these servers you will be console banned. Believe it or not, the choice is yours, just be careful

Please take note that if you are "Banned" that you won't literally be suspended from the servers, but rather be placed in the in-game 'Cheater Pool'. If you get suspended from Xbox LIVE this is not from GTA Online glitch, and console bans are also not a consequence for cheating.
A number of players are reported being "Banned" or reset. Now without proof it is up to you to believe it or not, however, "bans" or resets have been confirmed by Rockstar, so if you have done the glitch keep low for a bit
To those hosting these "Money Lobbies" a console ban could be a source of punishment. However, if you are one to receive a money boost from one of these people you can probably expect a money roll back, or no actions to be taken at all.
If you have not done these money glitches but you did grind out on missions while that was possible, you risk no ban at all, so keep playing

Here is what rockstar said will take place possibly next patch or even now.
Offenses in order.
-1st: Cheaterpool (1 month)
-2nd: Reset money/Owned cars apartments.
-3rd: Level reset/Previous offenses included.
-4th: Banned from GTA Online (Rockstar Servers are unavailable)
Guys, nothing here is confirmed. I talked to Rockstar today and they said they could not confirm punishment, however, they are aware of the Los Santos Customs Exploit. Here are a few things we should cover:
One: Exploiting is against the Code of Conduct. On the website, they say breaking this can result in punishment
Two: This IS exploiting. Sure, we didn't make the glitch, but it was you who abused it and used it for money.
Three: There are NO confirmed "You guys are getting banned" or things like this. The worst that could happen is your are placed in the cheater pool. Rockstar has never confirmed the possibilities of banning players.
Four: The glitch is in fact being patched soon, so if you are not afraid of being punished go ahead and keep doing it.
Please keep in mind that cheating is cheating, and if it's how you play please advise of other peoples experiences. Happy Playing guys
If you have done ANY glitches lately that affect your money or xp and you suddenly loose your character there is a chance you have been reset by Rockstar and if this is the case you cannot get your rank etc back

IMPORTANT: IF YOU HAVE NOT GOT YOUR CHARACTER BACK AT THIS POINT THEN YOU NEED TO MAKE A NEW ONE.
First things first, get on [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and sign in. If you don't have an account it is highly recommended you make one to help out here. Go to your GTA V stats and then GTA Online. If you see your old character on the thumbnail, then you can get him/her back
If you can see your money in the bank but your character is absent, be sure to leave your account alone. The best thing you can do if your account is like this, is to just chill while Rockstar sorts their servers and cloud out
THIS WILL NOT WORK IF YOU MAKE ANOTHER CHARACTER OVER SLOT ONE

If nothing is seeming to help you get your things back, then just sit tight. Rockstar is aware of the problems and are addressing them, this is just to help get you back on sooner

Suggestion 1:
Delete the TU and start up the game. Continue to single player, then launch a single player GTA Online mode
Suggestion 2:
Make a character on slot two. Dashboard and see if the character is still there. If so, sign out and then sign back in.
Suggestion 3:
Keep dashboarding and trying to connect
Suggestion 4:
Load a single player story mode, then hold down and hover over the empty face icon. This should throw you into a freeroam.
If you are getting the "Cannot connect to cloud" or "Session timed out":
If you are getting either of these it might be your internet connection itself. Try restarting your router or xbox, or testing your connection to see what situation your in
Notes:
If you have already make a character over your original slot, it's gone
If you still have your money, cars, houses etc. it's probably gone
If you cannot enter stores or see them on the map, it's gone

If nothing is seeming to help you get your things back, then just sit tight. Rockstar is aware of the problems and are addressing them, this is just to help get you back on sooner
Regarding Disappearing vehicles:
A large portion of players having this issue are also the ones doing this "Selling bike glitch" which earns significant amounts of money. Although this is frowned upon, if you do find yourself doing it for money be sure when you finish that you sell the bike and then go to single player initiating a hard save. If you don't you could loose vehicles.

This happened to me yesterday, i ended up making a character in slot 2 this morning. and it doesn't seem there is anything i can do to restore the character i had in slot 1

so judging by what your said is, seance my money can be seen on Social club and ingame from my deleted character, this means that it is "Gone"??

Three friends of mine had to restart today because they made new characters, but everyone in my crew was fine when they waited a bit and did suggestion one. That's what I did..
