Dont create new characters and you wont lose your character, money, stats ETC. Just wait, if you didnt notice they are doing mini updates to servers and they are being shutdown which means your characters cant load because they are in the cloud. Why do you think only some people are online and some arent. they are doing incremental updates to some sections of servers. Be patient wait an hour or a day then go back on and you will be good. DONT CREATE NEW CHARACTERS!! IT WILL OVERWRITE!!!

I hope you are telling the truth.

My character "vanished" last night around 11PM GMT and is still not there.

One quick thing about what you said, would it still overwrite if I made a character in slot 2 when my main is in character slot 1?

Yes it will cause there can only be 1 save in the cloud thats why if you try to create another guy while you have one already it will delete the one you just created when you come back on to GTAO

Your completely right! I went on today and my slot 2 character vanished! Same as the new social club stats(Still lists the race wins and total cash earned etc.)Everything else is 0

if your on xbox try to delete that guy then clear your cash and start GTA back up in story and then go to online
