Not SATA II, SATA III. More bothered about size/price because if I can get two cheap 60GB ones and RAID 0 them for the same price, great.
120GB needs to be the total size, looked at the SSDNow V300 but performance is pretty bad.

To be totally honest i'd be looking at some recert OCZ ones on Novatech. Reason i say specifically there is because they offer a full years warranty on the Recert gear they sell so as long as your moderatly lucky and backup often you should be covered.
With speed it's generally up to a certain speed so its doubtful you'd ever get the maximum. I ran a Kingston V200 which as you'll see from google has horrible read and write speeds but it still booted my system fast enough and there isn't much of a difference now i've upgraded to a PCIe card.

Ok then, size and price. Don't mind SATA II, don't mind multiple drives. Just best price/GB.

The V300 is good for the money. At 63 GBP it's cheaper than any of the competition.
Performance is actually reasonable, especially for the price.

And that's vs a vertex 4 (not saying it's the best drive, but one that's available as a refurb).

Toshiba Q Series 128GB is faster then the v300 and the Mushkin Enhanced 120GB is faster as well.
