I am having the same problem, hopefully they will fix it soon

Just wait for the Update it's already up for PS3 and the Update for the Xbox360 will up in an hour or two so just chill and wait buddy you will get on today !

I hate to say it but be patient, that's what most people had to do. It'll be up and running very soon with the new update.

1.02 TU has made online much better for me

i was the same yesterday but try this
1.go to the dashboard - settings - storage - hard drive
2. scroll down until you see GTA V
3. go to GTA V then find GameUpdate or something along those lines
4.Delete it
5.go back until you get the choice to pick your storage device hover over Hard Drive
6.Click Y on the harddrive and select clear system cache
7.Go onto GTA V now and install the update and Delete the character you first created and make a new one
8.Walla play online ;)

There's patients and there's waiting 4 days for something i've already paid for when some people are already on it...
