You've got more of a chance avoiding a ban by playing offline.

Microsoft and rockstar are looking for people who are leaking the game. and many people are saying if you unplug your ethernet cable you will be safe because they cant tell that you are playing the game but when you plug the ethernet cable back in they are going to be able to tell that you played the game early by your compared games the last game you played ect. Unplugging your ethernet calbe just makes it less likely to get banned i recommend that you just create a new profile and play on that or play on a rgh so it doesnt matter if you get account banned or console banned.

What they mean by this is leaking it over the internet, like giving the story away or showing gameplay.

If you play the game early, just stay offline until it comes out. That's one of the only ways you can be truly safe. I mean really, it's only about 3 days anyways. Same with any game that gets leaked early.

If you don't want your account to get banned just make another one to play it on
