A build for a friend. He needs it to be small, hence Micro-ATX. I used a 6300 instead of a Phenom due to BF4 recommends AMD 6 core and 660, and the 7850 is very close to that.

Edited because I changed the build.

One change. Either the motherboard or the case.

Here's the reason. I got a motherboard with 4 RAM slots and got this case. The motherboard did not fit due to the extra RAM slots.

I know it says it will, but it won't. I tried just about everything with it and it just wouldn't fit.

Hmmmm, that sounds odd...

I'll look into it.

This would be a hole lot better.

Zalman case has bottom mounted PSU and IMO looks better.

That case would be good but no USB 3.0. Otherwise I would easily get it.

Also, I chose the motherboard I did because of the better VRM design so upgrade to an 8xxx or Steamroller can happen without cutting it fine.

Use the USB 3.0 on the back of the motherboard.

And either save up for a new motherboard and 8xxx series.

Or just wait and save more.

But the one i gave a minute ago will be better at the minute.

The USB3.0 is just silly really, it's slow when using the case one any way lol.

Ok then. I was going to swap out the GPU for an 8000 series because he doesn't plan on buying this at the minute, so the GPU in there at the moment is a bit irrelevant. I will change the case though to up the budget for the rest.

I'd say either change the RAM or take the horrible heatspreaders off. The Coolermaster N200 case is reviewed very nicely. You'll need a PCIe to Molex adaptor as that PSU has only one PCIe power connections and usually 7850's require two.

You really do hate that RAM don't you? Even if the colour is a travesty, my friend will most likely never look inside do it doesn't really matter.

I can probably get a cable for 1p on Aria so no worries.

Yeah but knowing Aria they'll send you a scart cable then sound confused while you explain computers are not televisions.

Also yes its horrible RAM and the speed is substandard these days imo.
