You won't get your full download speeds on steam, their servers are always under high load which slows down your connection.

Go on [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] then post your results. Also could you try connecting via ethernet cable then doing another test.

Right now I'm teaching you how to change the Wireless Mode your router is broadcasting in.

Most likely it is broadcasting in B, G, N, or just N. If that is the case you want to change it to G because most devices accept N mode, but are very limited to how much they can receive on N mode.

Change it to just G, not N or B, but G.

i changed it to g but it was downloading at 10 bytes per second lool

O.o that's not right. Okay, go to Speedtest.net and test your speed on G then change it N, then to the mixed between B/G/N.


It should have become higher. If non of these work, you're gonna have to hardwire.
