No you dont, im not quite sure why but you dont have to change the XP.

Is there a way to mod the materials, colors, etc. I have never had a mask in a drop, only colors twice, and materials once. All I ever get is the same shitty weapon mods. I did the new_item_type_unlocked thing, that does nothing either.

You can add masks, the other things will come in time. I have the same issue i never get colors or patterns.
