i built my pc about 2 days ago, and i just started using it yesterday. i turned it off last night and i switched the power supply switch off after i turned off the pc. this morning i switched the supply on and went to press the power button and nothing happens, the fans arent running or anything, its silent. no light or anything. im scared and nothing is burnt or unplugged.

Try to post in the PC Support section you will get more replies.

Now for the issue. I've never heard of something like this but it could be a faulty or cheap psu. What the brand and model?

Do you have a PS you can take out of another computer? If so trade them out and see if it'll work, if so just call them and get a new one. According to them "Good power supplies deliver stable and clean power. Great power supplies go one step further to include industrial-grade power protections such as Over-Voltage Protection, Over Power Protection and Short-Circuit Protection to expect for the unexpected." So ring them up and tell them it got ruined on it's own.

Just check all your cables are nice and tight in the motherboard.

Thats all i can recommend really!
