Explaining the Black Ops 2 zombies ranking up system
NOTE - Post below if i've said something wrong.
Ranking up in Black Ops 2 zombies is based on KILL to DOWN ratio, You can't get the Shotgun rank instantly by getting 20,000+ or 30,000+ kills in one game, you have to play at least 15 - 25 games to eventually get the the Knife rank or
the Shotgun rank.
Your KILL to DOWN ratio have to be at least 80+ - 100+ for KNIFE or 200+ - 300+ for SHOTGUN.
You can find out your KILL to DOWN ratio by dividing how many kills you have, to how many downs you have. You can use this calculator: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Custom Games
Difficulty: Easy
+ About same time (Hours Played) NOT total kills
- Each Kill is only worth .5 compared to online kills (Halve the kill)
Kill Requirement
OFFLINE KILLS
Knife = 10 - 20k kills with great KILL to DOWN
Shotgun = 30 - 40k kills with great KILL to DOWN
YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD KILL to DOWN RATIO
ONLINE KILLS
Knife = 7 - 15k kills with great KILL to DOWN
Shotgun = 20 - 30k kills with great KILL to DOWN

Solo
Public match
Custom games
Times they update days played
Every 24 hours
How to get blue eyes
You have to get 5 DAYS played to get blue eyes, Everyday you don't play the tally marks will go down.

I read the first sentence and it is incorrect. You are able to get shotguns in your very first game of zombies because if you have under 10 downs and go into a game and get round 75+ if you played solo you have enough kills to get shotguns.

Also the ranking system is not based on just K/D seeing as someone with a 180 KD could have shotguns and someone with a 700 KD could still have knife. The system is very complex and I can tell you it's not fully based on KD
EDIT: The KD "Rages" are there as a minimum to get that rank not control the who ranking out come
