My theory is that you will play as the 4 original characters and it will be like a prequel before Nacht der Untoten. (Or Der Riese if that map is set before Nacht). Also, i'm guessing the beginning cutscene will show you how the zombie outbreak begun and how the four protagonists must work together against their will. I can imagine that all of them will hate each other and do not like working together. Finally I believe that once you do the easter egg, the 4 main characters minds will be erased, like it is now. Leading up to Nacht der Untoten or Der Riese.
The 'Letters from the Field' images that Treyarch have been uploading to their Facebook page enforces this theory as they are all dated in 1917. (Before the Zombie outbreak).
Tell me what you think please.

Well we already know what started the zombie outbreak.
Nacht Der Untoten has nothing to do with the zombie story as it was just a test map for zombies.
Also, this is the wrong section if you are referring to Black Ops 2 Zombies.
Other than that though. I like it. Good work.

None of this would happen because it would mean the end of Zombies or at least the main characters' story and let's face it, no one wants it to end do they? Especially not Treyarch.
I think/hope that the next DLC will give us a way to kill the new characters and bring back the original ones which would allow us to continue Richtofen's evil scheme because it doesn't appear to be over just yet
