So I upgraded my internet from 15mbps to about 60mbps. When I upgraded it I was wondering why I was limiting to 30mbps, I then connected my router directly to my computer and got this:

So I'm wondering why my wireless router is potato. I currently have a netgear WNDR3300.

This is my internet connection with wireless:

Help me fix this without paying for another router and I'll throw in a small reward.
This is really ticking me off, I'd rather have someone who knows a lot about routers help me fix this then paying netgears foreign support who can barley speak english.

I tried changing channels, still nothing.

thanks.

I'm not good with these things but could it be your laptop doesn't have the capabilities to run the higher speeds wirelessly? You're best bet would be contact your ISP and talk to them about it

Wireless can be subject to interference from Microwave ovens and cordless telephones, you get full speed with ethernet right?

Doubt it, I understand if the computer was like 10 years old, but it's not.

Edit: Yes I get full speed with ethernet, but again my wireless router runs on 5ghz, and it's 4 1/2 years old. But it advertised upto 250mbps on it, since I paid about $100+ for it way back when.

Depends how far you are from the router usually (with me anyway)

I get 60mbps next to router but get about 1mbps at the other end of the house.

Yes, I tried changing it multiple times. And it's either 2ghz, and it tops out at 11-15, or 5ghz to where to tops out at 30mbps.

Also, I'm like, 6 feet away from my wireless router. lol.
