Well, I mean if you're doing it for a business, it would only make sense for people who actually like what you do to follow you. I'm not shooting the idea down, just my opinion on it.

If you want legit followers it's going to take a while for your page to get a couple thousand followers.
I have a Twitter page with almost 25k and it takes 4 days to get 1k, when I just started I remembered it took a month to get 1k. Just need to tweet good content and invest a little bit of money

If you want to get out there just advertise you're page. It's not that hard to do, just time consuming.
