Anyone help me with this?

It detects sound but not a mic therefore I cant speak to my friends

Check your sound settings and make sure that the microphone you're using is set as your default device, then restart Skype.

You may have to update your sound card drivers if Skype isn't the only program that doesn't detect your mic.

Where do i find the sound settings?


If you're using Windows Vista/7/I believe XP, down at the bottom-right corner of your screen you should see a volume option, right-click and and hit "recording devices."

Check your sound on your microphone, also check for dust inside your microphone.
