There's a lot. Try Amnesia, Cry of Fear (HL 1 mod), Grey (HL2 Mod), Nightmare House 2(HL2 mod), Dead Space 1,2, and 3. (My personal favorite)

White Day. I recommended it to someone earlier this month in a thread so I'm just gonna c&p that reply.

Act wrote Play "White Day: A Labyrinth Named School". It's a horror classic that's relatively unknown.
The game became abandonware shortly after it came out (the company went under) so you can just pick it up here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

Just a few tips if you decide to play it;
- The scares are scaled by difficulty so realism mode is an absolute must (very hard would work too I guess).
- The game came out around 12 years ago so don't expect some flashy new graphics.
- Don't just go watch a stream of it or a let's play. The game is slower paced and that works very well with the game, but as a viewer? It could make it seem boring.
- You're almost 100% going to need to screw around with the settings to make it work so read the FAQs on the page I linked above.
- If your virus scanner goes off at the file, it's because it's a 12 year old Korean game with a bunch of fan translated patches. I assure you there's absolutely nothing malicious in the files.
- If you hear the sound of paper ripping, don't look around. Trust me.

Oh and just a side note, this game isn't just a bunch of jumpscares. It's an actual horror game.

Other honorable mentions that you should check out would be
FEAR (the first one)
Call of Cthulhu
Scratches
Pathologic
Condemned

There's a bunch more but start out with some of those and see how you like them.

Im guessing you have Steam, so if you do purchase Alan Wake while its still $2.99. Its basically playing through a movie. Its a great balance of narrative and combat.
Next Amnesia. The game dosent have much replay value, but with the way ive been playing it i wont need to. I play in pretty much 30 minute bursts, due to how insanely eerie and creepy this game is. Its on community choice vote for $4 right now. So you can potentially save $16 if it wins. Which is a definite steal.
Next Cry of Fear. Its a mod for HL1,but you dont need to own it to play it. go on moddb(.)com to download it. I havent played really any of the story. I've been playing multiplayer with my friends and its pretty good. i only have an hour clocked on it but i definitely plan on going back to it. Oh, did i mention its free?
Next the Complete Dead Space series. I dont believe i need an explanation for this considering on how much hype 2 and 3 got. Its very creepy and a terrific shooter. Plus DS3 has a co-op feature which adds some different dialouges which can give the game a second playthrough.
Well i hope i helped!

I myself was going to recommend Cry of Fear, but he doesnt have to go on ModDB. Cry of Fear was voted in by Greenlight on Steam, so anybody can get Cry of Fear just by searching it on steam, and its free.
