Also what should be changed for it to run faster?

If you want someone to look at this then try cut it down to the individual specs, not everyone has time to read all the extras.

Thanks for cutting it down, judging by what was posted, I am assuming its pre-built, PM me a link to the product and I will post the specs for you.

Specs:
Athlon II X2 @ 3.00GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM @1333Mhz
ATI Radeon HD 4200
1TB 7200RPM HDD

I am not 100% sure on what you will/wont be able to do with this computer, although I would say this is not a good buy as there is no way it will be able to run next-gen games.

However I assume your on a strict budget of $300, and I am sure some of the members here could suggest a better build. For example Buxtyy or r00t(hes an admin so may be busy) are usually very helpful.

Depends on what you mean by faster, for example if you were wanting to render videos in sony vegas a GPU with CUDA and a processor with hyper threading would make it faster, whereas if you want faster(more FPS) in a game with higher graphics settings then obviously a better GPU.

This PC isn't very good. If you wanted to upgrade something, upgrade the GPU. The 4200 is pretty terrible and won't really run anything.

There would be no point buying it to change things in it, as it's a small form factor case - not good for when you're trying to upgrade.

Your best bet would be to build a computer - it's a hell of a lot easier than it sounds.
