I've heard people have problems with windows 8, but I like Windows 7 since I'm used to it.

I've heard Windows 7 is way more gaming friendly than Windows 8. But I have Windows 8 on my gaming rig, which I have no problem with. If I was you go with Windows 8. It does what 7 does, but better.

Exactly, had to find drivers that wasn't even released yet for my wireless adapter to work lol

To answer your question, Windows 8 performs slightly better in many games and has better wake, sleep, boot, and shutdown times.

I think windows 8 is alright, it's a nice touch to a computer but I like windows 7 for gaming.
