how do i save the game? once im done playing the game i click save and then i go to file and also click save and then once i fell like getting back on the file isn't there anymore? any suggestions? PLEASE HELP!

i use project 64

Try another emulator like 1964 or mupen64 and see if its just P64 not wanting to cooperate. If that doesn't work then come back and I'll try to help some more. I'm a bit rusty with N64 emulation though.

ive tried mostly everything, but if you can help me out i would greatly appreciate it. is there anyway other way to save the game? cause im not that smart with computers, i don't want to keep downloading to many things. i don't want to harm my computer.

Try running PJ64 as an admin. If you're on an account that isn't an admin then you'll need to change where it saves to. Here's a little tutorial I just made if you end up needing to do that.

A good place to change the directory's would be your documents folder. Just make a folder inside that named "Saves" or something so you can remember.

You're trying to save on the read-only memory.

When you want to save, go here:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Save it wherever you want, then open that file whenever you want to resume your game.
