9 out of 10 topics which say they will give +REP for a good answer and not giving the poster REP is starting to become annoying!
Don't get me wrong, I like helping the community but when people post a topic saying they will +REP me I put a bit of extra effort into helping them and making sure they are asking is solved.
This is just beginning to irritate me a little, and I'm sure it does other too.

Every time I have helped someone with a topic title like that, or been the first to, I have received Rep.
Also, how do you know they aren't giving Rep?

They past 4-5 topics that I HAVE answered somebody in, also being the first post, I have never received rep. It's just beginning to get on my nerves a little

In the past when I have made topics saying I will rep all helpful answers, I have repped them. The only time they didn't receive rep is if it was word for word copy of someone else's post or if I already repped 10 people and then couldn't rep anyone else but then the next day I would rep them.

It's not right to falsely advertise rep without giving it, but it's only rep. I usually get rep when I answer ones offering rep (rarely).... I don't know if I'm lucky or you're unlucky

I have always received rep when it has been advertised. Maybe you just aren't the first or best poster, so you don't receive it.

This is why I don't care about rep. If I get some rep for helping, that's good, but even if they do say +rep I still don't expect getting it when I help out.

Just because you don't, doesn't mean anybody else does.
I put extra effort into my answers when people are offering +rep.
All these people that are commenting aren't even reading what I put.
