That's a downer for the Elgato. It requires 4GB of RAM to run the software. I record with my Elgato. The software works good on my computer.

Well, it needs mac 1.7 and I have 1.6.8. I need to somehow buy some software and update.

I argee. The original AVerMedia used to be big and didn't have as good quality as the other capture cards.
