Pool wrote I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.-Michael Jordan

For your information, LeBron has been the most clutch player in the league since 2003 when there is only 24 or less seconds left in the game. Don't believe me? Do the research.
The last 24 seconds only mean something if they can keep it close throughout the fourth. Everything with below 5 minutes remaining is considered clutch. Here are the stats with 5 minutes remaining, and in the regular season to give a chance to players on teams that didn't make the playoffs: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

LeBron is still very clutch, but not the most clutch.

Actually, I think lebron is the more "all around" player. Jordan scored a lot because he took, on average, 10+ more shots per game than Lebron. Lebron scores 30 pts a game in the finals and is one of the best defenders in the league. If you didn't notice, Lebron shut down Tony Parker. Jordan was the best of his tim just as Lebron is the best of his time. People don'y want anyone to be better and will probably never accept the inevitability that someone will always be better. I don't get why half of you guys even pick Jordan when I know for a fact you never saw him play because you're too young. I'm not saying you specifically but most people on the site.

I take Lebron James.
LeBron is the better all around player in my opinion, but Jordan did not take 10+ more shots then LeBron, that's a blatant lie.

Jordan Career: 11.4-22.9
LeBron Career: 9.9-20.1

Do your research before you post something as ignorant as that.

Watch his hall of fame speech. Then you'll understand.

There is a famous story about Michael Jordan visiting the home of North Carolina teammate Buzz Peterson; while playing a casual game of cards with Peterson's mother, Jordan attempted to cheat while the old woman was using the bathroom. This is often used as an example of what made Jordan so awesome; he would do absolutely anything to win, regardless of the circumstance. And because the character in this anecdote is MJ, the story is charming. However, I doubt Buzz Peterson would tell this yarn if it had involved his mother and some random dude he met in Anthropology 251 (and if he did, the story would now be about that one time he brought a lunatic home for Thanksgiving break).

What you think is him being cocky and arrogant is him kidding around. Notice how everyone laughs and smiles at what he says? They all love him and know he's kidding. He's extremely competitive and there's nothing wrong with that. When you're the best basketball player to ever play the game, you really can't be cocky or arrogant. He thanked everyone who was a part of his career, and I don't see what he did wrong.

But yet you bash LeBron for being cocky because he's the best in the game right now? Hypocritical if you ask me.
