for anyone wondering why it was banned. there is a weapon in the game which is essentially an anal probe weapon. you take someone, bend them over, stick it up their butt and shoot them off into oblivion. They are working on a censored version so it can still be distributed here. Why bring in an R18+ rating system when games don't even get put on in, they just get banned instead. pretty stupid

i understand that Saints row is getting a tad stupid but didn't Australia ban Dead island 1 a few years ago? Kinda stupid

Many think the reason it was banned was because of an alien anal probe weapon. That's partly the reason but it's also the sexual violence and illicit or proscribed drug use as reward. I really think it is outrageous that we finally got 18 rating but as of January this year, 17 games have been denied classification. Fortunately, since the low violence version is being made, you can still play a region-free version of the original game and it's only illegal to posses in Western Australia and parts of Northern Territory. As for its release, it hasn't changed from the 23rd of August because the preorder is on stream as confirmation for its release.
