Please take time to read. Could really use the help
Over a few weeks I've taken lots of advice and came up with 3 possible build. A Budget Build, A medium and high priced build. With all of them they score high ratings on game debates; allowing me to play games such as ARMA on high setting and in some possibly ULTRA. I hope to play all types of games on the PC and possible editing... I although have the money for the most expensive build and more, I'm just cautious on weather to spend that amount, as I can achieve similar results in each of the rigs. But details like processing speed are differant.

I hope to use the rig for mostly gaming but I'm sure I will use if for casual use too. I don't really have a budget but i do want to keep it under 1000.

Low Budget Build - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - Nice comfortable gaming build.

Medium Priced Build - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - Again, nice build, with a excellent GPU.

High Priced Build - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - I do like this build, has some very nice aspects. I think I've been an over kill with the 16GB RAM. Could decrease to 12GB and change the GPU to and XT'. This could be said the same with the CPU, changed to and i5 and use the money tonged and SSD. Not too sure yet, that's why I'm asking for you're help.

I do plan to later purchase an SSD and overclock which is why I have not included coolers... But a more than enough power supply when I do.
So put yourself in my position what would you do. Is it worth spending the extra money on a higher build. And why?

Thanks for all the help everyone has given.

It's always worth spending the extra money on the parts that give you the best performance possible but for the cheapest price, thus making you able to make upgrades for the future. So I would suggest the most expensive build (If you have the money) Then why not? You're paying for the best quality products. Why settle for second best?

The low and medium builds are the same build, the high end build isn't exactly miles ahead of the other two, but it's still a decent build, you're spending way too much money on the memory though.

Here's what I'd suggest instead if you're looking to drop 1000 GBP without an SSD: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Why Windows 8, not 7? Other than that, great build.

Windows 8 performs slightly better in games and boots more quickly. He can switch it with 7 if he wants because everyone seems to have an opinion.

Does it? I heard that on some games you get better FPS, but the compatibility isn't great.

The compatibility issues can be worked around if they arise. And yes, some games perform significantly better with 8, some perform exactly the same. I'd get it just for better boot, shutdown, sleep, and wake times.
