No. What makes you think that there is just some part of time that is just waiting?

I think it exists, we just haven't figured out how to do it yet.

Well it can exist i believe there is some type of universe where time is different

It's because theoretically it isn't possible(yet?) to go back in time only forward.

Time travel is a very difficult thing to explain and theorise about, and there is no easy way of explaining this subject.

You see, several people have tried to prove or disprove the idea of time travel.

As we know it, there are no laws of physics that say we can or cannot travel either way in time. Without a grand unified theory, a theory to join quantum mechanics and general relativity in said grand unified theory.

However it might be interesting to note, that if we were to create a time machine that were capable of travelling backwards in time, you would only be able to travel back as far as when the machine was turned on. I.e, you would not be able to travel to a time before you created the time machine, as this creates a paradox, as you are using a machine to travel back to a time before it was created.

Also, using the theory of general relativity, it is in theory possible to travel forward through time, through the process of time dilation. If you were to travel 99.9% the speed of light, time would act on you at a very slow rate in comparison to those who were travelling at a "normal" speed. I.e, if you were to take a round trip into space that, to you, lasted 30 years, but you travelled for the entire time at 99.9% the speed of light, when you returned, the Earth would be thousands of years in the future.

Also, in theory if you were to travel faster than the speed of light, then this would have the effect of travelling backwards through time.

I will not go into further details, for now. I just figured I would give you all a brief outline.

And for the record, I believe that at some point in the future, we will figure out a way to travel in time, but rather by the use of time dilation than just creating a machine that could hop us through time.

What Euler said is pretty much about what was needed to be said. I believe that time travel is possible but may take a bit before we figure it out. My science teacher believes that we will be able to travel through time/interstellar distances in our life times, and I believe it is possible. One reason for that is due to phycicts finding the Higgs Boson particle also known as the "God particle" which is supposedly part of what we needed to figure out time travel.

A while back a came across a site in which someone claims to be from 2063 to warn us about stuf. I'll edit this post if i can post the link since it is currently being blocked.

I personally am not aware of the relation of the Higgs Boson to time travel.

The Higgs Boson allowed us to prove why things have mass, as before the discovery of this particle, we simply could not explain why matter had mass.


And as for somethimg i forgot to say in my post; the reason why we would not have people coming to our time period from the future, is due to the creation of paradoxes.

If someone came back in time to prevent something from happening, this would create an alternate future where this event did not happen. Therefore no one would have the need to come back in time to stop such an event, because it did not happen. This would therefore mean that this event would then never be prevented from happening in the first place.

Time travel is a very tricky idea to get your head around.
