The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the 3 pyramids. Also, it is one of the oldest seven wonders of the ancient world.

What my question is, who built them?

Many theories say that it was slaves, aliens and even the transformers helped.

I'm stumped with this one and don't know which one to believe, so what do you guys think?

In the movies about the transformers it says they helped it was just a little joke to throw them in there.

How could people build such massive structures without any equipment?

Also, in ancient egyptian hieroglyphs it shows the people of Egypt bowing down to people with oversized heads that look similar to the things we call aliens.

Although I agree that common sense would rule that the slaves of Egypt built them, common sense does little to explain a lot.
Due to the size and weight of the blocks moved, plus the movement of other blocks around the world which could not be moved even with the use of modern day cranes, it is safe to assume that there is more to the official story.
Not to fill in the gap with Aliens, but they are the most likely explanation for how these monoliths were constructed.

Although it is mind-boggling how humans built such a thing with very basic tools, to my knowledge (and not much at that) there is no real documented PROOF of such an "alien" species taking part in the creation of them, but that's just my opinion.
Still a very interesting topic though.

It's not that simple, common sense doesn't seem to answer the question unfortunately .
It is said that the Egyptians used copper tools, I can tell you that it is highly unlikely that is the case.
They were cutting basalt blocks which today we use diamond edged cutting tools to work with such hard materials.
The real mystery is they were making pottery out of diorite which is the same hardness as basalt. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

To answer the question, I'm not saying it was aliens but maybe there was once an advanced civilization living there.
Not transformers, I hope that was a joke.

You are very right that there is more to these stories than people care to admit.

For those of you who are interested, google the Yonaguni Monument. This is an underwater construction, with very obviously man made features. Huge rocks moved and shaped, such as what appears to be a giant turtle.
The main feature is the monument, which is a huge rectanglar formation, measuring 490 by 130 feet, and 90 feet high. These rocks were carbon dated as having being just 2000-3000 years old, a time when sea levels were very similar to what they are today. And so to move or modify the rocks, these people who lived 2000 years ago would have had to dive over a hundred feet, a pretty impossible feet especially to move these huge rocks around.

I'll leave you to research the rest if you are interested.
