I understand that death is a natural occurrence and I have not seen sufficient evidence to warrant a belief in life after death.

Death itself doesn't worry me, instead it is the thought of not experiencing the future of this planet, missing how society progresses.
Curiosity without the ability to prognosticate is one of my biggest worries.
The future is the only thing that gives the present meaning, and the present is infinite, by association that would imply that the future is the meaning of life.
