Finished this build about a month ago and am pretty pleased with the raw power it puts out; just want to see others' opinions.

Specs:
Intel i7-3960x OCed to 4.50GHz
ASUS Rampage Formula IV Mobo
32GB 1600MHz RAM Samsung (4x8GB)
Dual AMD Sapphire 7970 GHz Edition 6GB GDDR5
Corsair AX1200i PSU
Corsair H100i Liquid CPU Cooling
Dual BlueRay Optical Drives
512GB SSD
4TB RAID
CM Cosmos II Case
Windows 8 Pro
5x Blue LED Coolermaster 120mm Fans

Final Price: Around $4,000

Pretty beast build, but it seems overkill. What are you going to be using it for?

I do independent game design, professional graphic design, and video editing.

Specs:
Intel i7-3960x OCed to 4.50GHz - absolute waste. 2011 cpus should only be used in the case that they need to support 3 or more GPUs
ASUS Rampage Formula IV Mobo - if you've got the money, I say, "why not?"
32GB 1600MHz RAM Samsung (4x8GB) - rendering is intensive; worth it for game design.
Dual AMD Sapphire 7970 GHz Edition 6GB GDDR5 - 7990...
Corsair AX1200i PSU - good
Corsair H100i Liquid CPU Cooling - A select few air coolers outperform the H100i and are very silent; not needed
Dual BlueRay Optical Drives - sure
512GB SSD
4TB RAID - nice!
CM Cosmos II Case
Windows 8 Pro - why no win 7 dual boot?
5x Blue LED Coolermaster 120mm Fans

overall, not worth it, but I can see you have plenty to spend; I give it an 83/100
