I have a Cruizer Glide 16GB Flash drives high I have used on my Mac and school computers and works fine but I put it in my Notebook Laptop today and it installed fine but I went to access it from "My Computer" but it wasn't even there.

I tried to type in D:\, E:\, F:\, all the way to Z:\ but it didn't work.

I also tried going to Control panel into "Device Manager" and uninstall it and reinstall it but it does the same problem.

Is there any USB connection noise when connecting the device?

Probably already tried, but use different USB slots?

Try viewing it through computer management? (Opening the run command and typing "compmgmt.msc", Then navigating to Storage>Disc Management)

Try using someone else's computer to connect it, and if it's damaged, May need a possible format.

I tried changing USB ports but nothing different. I tried the "RUN" command and clicked "Change Drive Letter and Parhs..." But it came up with this error:
The operations failed to complete because the Disk Management console view is not up-to-date. Refresh the view by using the refresh task. If the problem persist close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer.

I also know it can't be a damaged flash drive as I tried it on a computer I have never tried at the local library and it worked perfectly.[/code]

Just to make sure you're looking in the right place, if you go on the compmgmt.msc and navigate to here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (My USB is Also a Sandisk Cruzer 16GB, Labelled "Mikes")
And see if the drive shows up atall?

If it does, See if you can; Right-click>Explore, Or anything to do with it.

I would suggest just re-formatting it and starting over, But that probably won't fix the issue and ofcourse you'll lose your data.

You've used it on a Mac so it has been formatted with a file system that cannot be read by your PC. This happens a lot and to fix this, you can use a Mac and Disk Utility to format the drive to MS-DOS/FAT32 with MBR selected as the partition table.
