What is the difference between the i5-4670k and the i5-4670 all it seems to have is a K I don't know what the difference is since the K version is $20 more

k version means it is a unlocked processor and you can overclock, and overvolt it past factory specs

Overclocking is just for people who like tinkering around, trying to juice the processor for every last drop of power it has. If it doesn't bother you then get the cheaper of the two.

But if you ever think you might want to over clock get the k.


Note: overclocking in simple terms will increase how many GHz your CPU runs at making it faster.

And also say if your running 2 or more powerful gpu's your cpu might bottleneck and youll probly need to overclock i had to for both my 670's so just keep that in mind not really sure if this helps but...

That wouldn't be an issue for a high-end CPU like the one mentioned by OP and it depends on the game you are playing. Games rely on the CPU and graphics card(s) differently.
