Your download speed and the rate that you actually download are different things. Your download speed is measured in megabits and the rate of download is measure in megabytes.

1 megabit is equivalent to 0.125 megabytes, so 12.5 megabytes per second is about right

As an answer to your question, no unless you move area to somewhere with extremely good internet. Your download speed is actually extremely good, I have a speed of 5 megabits because I live in such a rural area in the UK. You should be very grateful unless you live in Sweden, where 100 megabytes download speed is pretty much standard.

Mine usually caps at 500 kilobytes per second or so, with a little fluctuation, it sucks but there's nothing I can do because companies refuse to install optic fibre in my estate even though it's installed in the larger estate directly behind my house.

Your internet is beyond average, so there should be no issues.
Unless there's an issue connecting to steam servers correctly.

i can barley get 6mb when im downloading 12 is fine, most games are above 10g, with speeding up your download all i can say is dont go online and tell others in your house to get off the internet, or you can call your local provider and ask for faster internet
