I stop playing and buying Call of Duty and I do not think I will go back unless there is some major change. I am not talking about new guns, new maps, new settings, or a new engine (which doesn't exist btw). I want to see a gameplay change.

I think one of the CoD developers needs to keep it safe and continue the headless chickens running and gunning gameplay because that will keep the franchise safe.

But want one of the developers to branch out and explore new styles of gameplay. I don't think the CoD community will like a Real Time Strategy (RTS) game that much. Just look at Halo Wars. I think they should maybe go in the direction of an MMO. There was talk a while back that sledge hammer games was developing this but with MW3 it was put on hold and nothing came out. I think they should make a modern combat style game similar to Planetside. You may make a character, choose a faction(Team) and you will fight for that team for control of a incredibly large map. On the map is thousands of players from each faction. There might be a $5-$10 monthly fee.

Lets see your thoughts on this subject.

In this day and age, it would not be possible to have this on a console. Maybe with the new Xbox One, this might be possible, but who knows?

It is possible for PCs to run this as they already have Planetside that has thousands in one server. The question is can the new consoles handle the body count of hundreds if not thousands of players on the screen at the same time.

I don't like this idea. COD should just stay simple, just get rid of the BS lag comp, and other stupid things like that. Maybe a bigger ground war where there is maybe like 16 on each tesm, its just MMO FPS games are so lame, Planetside takes an hour just to get into the combat. What I am getting at is they need to add dedicated servers and gt rid of the stupid crap, and make the game fun but keep it the way its been.

Cod is never going to change. If you want a realistic game play battlefield.
