My Modern Warfare 1 has a big ring around it, so I can load it up and play for about 10 minutes until it says disc unreadable. None of my friends in the area have a copy for me to borrow to install either. So, if someone with a working copy installed their disc to their hard drive, and then uploaded that file to the internet, if I downloaded it and put it on my hard drive would it work?

You would have to get a copy with no scratches and install it on the Xbox yourself.
If you get the file off the internet, you can't use it because you didn't download it on the same console and harddrive.

No it wouldn't work i suggest you go to gamestop buy a used copy and install the game then return it back you get 7 days to return it. Or if that doesnt work just keep it when you buy it, after all its cheap

Nope it won't work, buy a used copy stated above or fine someone who has it installed on their xbox and license transfer. Might wanna ask a friend.

Best idea, Travel around the world to find the last open blockbuster.
Then rent CoD4 ( This would work for any game )
And then switch the disks.
And return the one with the ring.
Then replace the disk if it does not work. There you go, brand new CoD4

I would just buy a new copy (Its really cheap) or go rent the game from a rental and install it.

You could try renting the game from a local store and switching the disks. I did that for my mw2 back in the day

That won't work, but buy mw2 from gamestop used and return within a week for a full refund.

Just go buy an new copy its an old game anyways so it should be cheap.
