-Emberzz wrote I very much doubt that cause companys will lose too much money.

I can't see how everyone buying new headsets causes companies to lose money

I'm sure many of the headset companys will release some sort of an adapter for our current headsets to connect to the Xbox One for somewhere around $20...

You will still be able to use the headset...just not the mic because there obviously would be an optical port on the back witch will still work with all your 5.1 and 7.1 simulated surround sound.

I dont get how they are not compatible if all you have to do is plug the headset up to your tv and into the usb port on the xbox they should be compatible.

They've created an entire new port to plug into the controller.

It's most likely able to be used for the audio/gameplay sound but the microphone wouldn't work.

Hes talking about the actual chat wire that plugs into your xbox controller, not the green port in your tv and the usb, audio will work but not the actual mic.

To everyone who just bought a pair this year. Did you not take this possibility into consideration when you purchased your 200$-500$ headset? I know I did that's why I only spent 100$ on mine so in case this happened it wouldn't be a big blow.
