What is the future of Halo? Will the franchise adopt the more modern first-person perspective? (enables you to used iron sights, respectfully like Call of Duty) Or is implementation of those mechanisms sacrificing its individuality among first person shooters? Bungie abandoned the Halo franchise for a reason. (Bungie has confirmed that their upcoming title "Destiny" will have access to the "iron sight" perspective)

I'm currently fine with the current iron sights on the weapon and see no reason to have other sights available for the current weapons. I don't want iron sights in Halo..
I'll be waiting for Destiny too.. Big Bungie and Halo fan.

I am a Bungie fan. Not a Halo fan. I think that Halo 3 was the greatest game ever made and no other games come close, especially the other halo games. (except Halo 2 which was also amazing)

It's not really about sacrificing individuality. The Master Chief has the reticles embedded into his helmet. The guns are already iron sight. His helmet just gives him reticles so it doesn't look like iron sight.
The guns in Halo don't have red dot or anything like that so it is all technically iron sight. If the game was to take out the reticle and make it the iron sight like in the COD series, then it would be like taking a step backwards. Modern now, is not the same as modern halo (future).
The Chief is in the future so all the guns, he uses, are reticle integrated into his helmet. If you were able to play as one of the marines that don't have the helmet then I understand you having to look through iron sight, but other than that no the chief should not have to use iron sights.
