So let's say I had a pirvate menu and I wanted to join a free roam match I can still do that?

you can go online with both you will just be allowed to do different mods so for example one mod could have map mods the other one would say private only ..

Private or personal menu's have the developers unreleased mods which are exclusive and nobody else has.
